Testing & Promotion
We provide an educational, safe and fun class for everyone. We offer age and rank appropriate classes. Students must meet minimum requirements for attendance and knowledge of the curriculum before they are able to test.
At the beginning of each month, a test schedule is posted on the bulletin board (and on this web page) listing students who are eligible for testing and promotion. All Students testing for a belt must complete an Intent to Promote form and return it to Sensei before the test date. Those students who pass their belt test will be invited to attend the graduation ceremony.
Belt testing and promotion generally takes place every 2 months on a Friday evening. Check the school calendar for dates and times.
Please plan your schedule accordingly so you will be able to attend the test. We are unable to promote students privately, so if you miss your graduation, you will be asked to wait until the next month’s ceremony.
